CONTEXT
The All-Atlantic Ocean Research Alliance
The All-Atlantic Ocean Research Alliance is the result of science diplomacy efforts which aim at enhancing marine Research & Innovation cooperation along and across the Atlantic Ocean, from the Arctic to Antarctica. The All-Atlantic Ocean Research Alliance between the European Union, Canada and the United States was launched with the signature of the Galway Statement in May 2013, followed by the signature of Belém Statement in July 2017 between the European Union, Brazil, and South Africa. In 2018 European Commission signed bilateral Administrative Arrangements with Argentina and Cabo Verde and more recently, at the end of 2020, a bilateral Administrative Agreement was signed with Morocco.
The main idea behind the All-Atlantic Ocean Research Alliance is to promote new ways of cooperation through the sharing, alignment and the use of existing resources. The Alliance motto is: Connect, Cooperate, Act. This is only possible through a community that knows each other and trust each other.
Back-to-back with the creation of the All-Atlantic Ocean Research Alliance there has been the rise of several initiatives supporting the ambition of the Alliance, namely the Atlantic International Research Centre (AIR Centre) with its joint activities, several EU funded projects with an Atlantic scale as well as other joint actions is scope of the All-Atlantic Ocean Multi-Stakeholder platform. All these initiatives are allowing the All-Atlantic Marine Research and Innovation Community to know each other and to trust each other. However, a characterization of the existing community still lacks and would strengthen the needed collaboration at the All-Atlantic level with new technologies,

AIM OF THE SURVEY
Identify and characterize stakeholders interested in promoting marine research and innovation at the All-Atlantic level. The survey will therefore strengthen the All-Atlantic Marine Research & Innovation Community.
The survey aims to gather a comprehensive list of marine Research & Innovation stakeholders, from along and across the Atlantic Ocean that could contribute and participate in the All-Atlantic2021 Conference including in its pledging activity and external side events back to back with the High-level and Stakeholders Conference. This list should include stakeholders from a variety of backgrounds, from governmental institutions, research institutions, industry, civil society, whose work, expertise, and experience are relevant to enhance Transatlantic cooperation in the Conference scientific areas and strategic objectives.
The information collected in this survey, if complete and with quality, can be used to feed a database accessible through the All-Atlantic Ocean Research Alliance Portal, gathering a group of people and institutions whose research and innovation is directly linked to the Atlantic Ocean, and aiming to facilitate the identification of relevant marine Research & Innovation activities/initiatives/stakeholders contributing to enhance cooperation in the Atlantic.
If you are interested to be part of the All-Atlantic Ocean Research and Innovation Community, we invite you to answer the following survey that will in the long-term strengthen the All-Atlantic cooperation started in 2013. The short survey should take you less than 10 minutes to reply.
In any circumstances, the emails will not be disclosed.
